Thank you for visiting my first blog. I thought I would launch my website with this creative blog that features a shoot i did for my self and to inspire photographers to stay inspired.. enjoy.
Joanna and Chip... Fixer Upper... Magnolia...Hearth and Hand... All in one amazing store called Target. This is where I found my recent inspiration... You may be thinking, why a store? As an artist I like to challenge myself. I find inspiration in rare places, and when I do, I hope to find someone that believe in me, and my vision and go for it.
I love this collection and every item. The style and design of the collection's display it's unique and so Magnolia.. I immediately got inspired to shoot here as soon as I saw it. So,Bailey and I went for it. As a photographer, As an artist, sometimes I burst with inspiration and ideas that keep me inspired. Sometimes, we have to create for us. Do what we love and execute our vision even when it sounds crazy to others.. You may be asking why Target, why this place.. You probably walked by it and never in your mind thought of photos taken here.
I wanted this shoot to be fun and embrace making a house a home. Choosing the right table napkin for that special occasion, or simply choosing something for that special corner in our home. This little space at Target had it all.
Bailey and I had so much fun. It was very different for sure and we were self conscious about people looking at us like we were crazy, but we nailed it. It turned out exactly how I envisioned it, if not better. The challenges here was he lighting. I am a natural light photographer and even though I use flash when photographing indoors for events, I rather not use flash. So, I went in here without it and challenged myself.
I used my Nikon 750, my 50 and 35mm lens. I edited this gallery using Embrace Nation presets (wanderlust) and added some grain to them. I used to hate grain my images and I am not a fan of indoor photography, so I challenged my self to get out of my comfort zone and go for it. Bailey is such a beautiful girl and she did amazing... I often find weird places to shoot at. .. When I do, its my opportunity to shoot for me and embrace my creativity..It doesn't matter if this idea sounds crazy to other people, or if someone out there critiques or dislikes it. It's about doing what you love and doing it for you.
